lockdown

Before starting the grooming your body parts, I focused on exercise, its time to work on your stamina because having a strong gut and immunity is very essential you can’t ignore that just because you want to enjoy Netflix show or some kind of movie. Though you have a great excuse “gyms are not open” of not working out but don’t you forget there are exercises in which you can do it without using the equipment.

1. Exercise regularly

Exercising for half an hour daily can enhance your stamina and make your skin glow. Not only it works on a physical level but it does works on a mental level. Due to lockdown, you don’t have your trainer with you but there are some amazing fitness apps that can help you to stay fit and healthy.

To attain the best out of your workout start doing it by wearing comfortable Men’s underwear such as jockstraps, men’s boxer brief, and brief underwear. Staying protected from infections is equally important just like staying fit.

Lockdown is the best time to work on yourself because you have nothing else to do. You can’t hang out with your friends and family members that’s why we have come up with amazing DIY face packs, manicure, pedicure, and basic fitness activities.

The face mask comes with great benefits such as reduction of pores, removal of blackheads, hydrate your skin, take out all types of impurities and toxins from your skin, and works on your fine lines(reduces them) so it’s very important to include them in your regime. Either you can make one at home or just pick one from the market based on your skin type but as we are completely locked down, its time to create your facial mask.

Before I jump directly on “types of face mask” let me make you aware of what kind of skin you have so that things become quite easier for you.

Skin types

Facial skin has been classified into different types, oily, combination, sensitive, and dry.

1.Oily skin

People with oily skin are more prone to acne and are even blessed with open pores, shiny complexion, blackheads, and pimples. There is a misconception about oily skin, that if you have one must stop using moisturizer because it’s already moist but don’t do that.
Now when you have one, instead of crying start taking care of it. Start your day by exfoliating your face and moisturizing. Invest in oily free products and some DIY face mask.

2. Dry skin

People with dry skin are prone to itching, cracking. This mostly happens due to hot and cold weather, a low percentage of moisture in the air, or when soaking in hot water.
Taking care of dry skin is not that tedious job to do, all you have to do is being gentle on your skin, using products which do not cause inflammation and investing in organic skin products. You may even start using cleaners, moisturizers, and hydrating serums and above all night cream so that your skin feels soft while you are asleep. And don’t forget to apply some DIY face mask.

3. Combination skin

If you have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks congratulations you are a part of dry skin club. People with dry skin have to face issues when it comes to picking up the right skincare product for your routine. You may look for different products for your oily t-zone like cleansing and exfoliating face masks, as well as hydrating products for your dry cheeks such as serums and moisturizers.

4. Sensitive skin

Sensitive skin is a condition where one has to face problems such as rosacea and eczema and several allergies. Women are more prone to sensitive skin as compared to men but if you have one deal with it gently. Look for high-end skincare products which are organic and fragrance-free and go for patch test every time before purchasing a certain product.

Grooming is not just limited to face or hair, you need to take care of your foot and nails as well. So let’s see how to take care of nails and foot and as well as your beard with minimum material.

A. Foot care

Lockdown could make you lazy if you don’t plan your schedule. Though work from home gives you the freedom to work on your rules that doesn’t mean you will stop taking care of yourself and will keep on repeating the same clothes such as socks for days.

1. Change your socks daily.

Though there is no need to wearing socks when you are at home but even if you feel like wearing one because….. only you know the reason behind that, then make sure you change them on regular basis to prevent excessive perspiration. Sometimes wearing the same socks can lead to hyperhidrosis, a medical condition where feet sweat excessively leading to slipping down even in the shoes. This medical condition can lead to foot infections and foot odor.

2. Wash your feet with soap and water.

If you are not fond of a pedicure, the basic thing which you can do to keep your feet clean and soft is washing them with soap and water so that you can save your feet from athlete’s foot. Athlete’s feet is all about scaly, itchy, and painful rash which spreads along with the toes or the soles of the feet.

3. Thoroughly dry your feet.

Once you have washed your feet, dry them properly between the toes. If you want to apply lotion to your feet go ahead but not between your toes as it will lead to breakdown and ulceration of skin or tissue.

4. Cut toenails and shape them.

Instead of cutting the whole nail at once, cut them in bits. To stay away from tear or bending of nails do not cut them when they are wet. Let them dry first.

B. Hands

1. Manicure

Take a bowl of warm water and just dip your hands for 10 mints so the skin and nails both have time to soften. Your water should be bearable. After you are done with a soaking procedure, pat them dry with a clean towel and gently scrub your nails and surrounding skin to remove any dirt, grime, or loose skin. I hope you are using the soft brush. Use a metal manicure stick or wooden orange stick to gently remove any dirt or grime that may be underneath the nails.

Do not clean your nails with the pointed end of metal or orange stick because then you will end up hurting yourself. After that wash your hands with warm water and soap and pat your hands with a clean towel.

Once done cleaning your nails its time to work on your cuticles and shape of nails.

Begin with
Clipping with pair of the nail clipper and trim your nails according to your desired length. To get rid of the cuticle (a dead skin which grows over the bottom of the nail) rub a small amount of liquid cuticle remover to soften the skin and make it easier to remove and then leave it for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once the cuticle remover has had a chance to soften the skin, use a metal cuticle pusher or wooden orange stick to remove the cuticles.

Once you are done with the whole procedure, apply moisture in a circular motion all over your hands including nails and cuticles to boost circulation to your fingers and hands.

C. Beard

1. We know that salons are not open at this point of time so getting a perfectly trimmed beard sounds difficult but it’s not impossible. Try these simple steps and get the most handsome look ever.

The first step is trimming and before you start the trimming process clean the area with a beard shampoo(not a regular one, that’s for your hair dude) and brush it as well to remove all tangles. Men who have never done this before might land up into doing blunders but you don’t have to work after all you have all-time for trial and error.

2. When you are trimming your long beard for the first time use clippers after all prevention is better than cure. Also, check for the setting in your trimmer, it should not be more than 4 and 5 when you are working on the goatee area.

3. When you are trimming your beard how can you forget your moustache? Use a pair of beard or moustache scissors for trimming the spiky ends. For keeping your beard soft and smooth use coconut, olive and sunflower oil. Though there are other oils as well, there are chances that you might not use them at home.

After you are finished grooming your body parts, its time to work on your stamina because having a strong gut and immunity is very essential you can’t ignore that just because you want to enjoy Netflix show or some kind of movie. Though you have a great excuse “gyms are not open” of not working out but don’t you forget there are exercises which you can do it without using the equipment.

Staying in lockdown doesn’t mean losing your mind, its time to ditch dead skin and unwanted fat which got deposited around your waist or thighs.
